Alex Hanimann. Human nature

For the very first time in a Swiss museum, the exhibition «Alex Hanimann. Human Nature» presents the complex photographic work that the artist has developed over the past twenty years. The cohesive and multiform use of imagery in our culture is directly reflected in his works. Hanimann embraces a wide range of topics and subjects whose form and representation draw their profound inspiration from the visual world around us. References to urban space or nature – with its mutability and constant state of flux – alternate with depictions of objects, places and persons.

The exhibition «Alex Hanimann. Human Nature» invites us to discover this rich visual expression and the depth of Hanimann’s artistic research, poised between objective reality and make-believe.
